Terms of use
The simple rules for using BattoTV, in plain English.
Last updated: 27 September 2026
1. About BattoTV
BattoTV (BattoTV.com) lets parents choose the YouTube videos, channels and playlists their children can watch, with daily limits, allowed hours and breaks. It's made for children aged 2 to 12 and works for children up to 16. By using BattoTV you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy.
2. Your account
- A parent or guardian aged 18 or over opens the account and is responsible for how the family uses it.
- Keep your parent PIN private. Anyone with it can change what your children watch.
- Give us a correct email address: we send sign-in codes, invoices and important notices there.
- BattoTV helps you supervise; it doesn't replace a grown-up keeping an eye on young children.
3. Videos come from YouTube
- Videos play through YouTube's own player, and YouTube's terms also apply. We don't own, make or check every video.
- You choose what your children can watch. The BattoTV Picks playlists are chosen by our team with care, but you can switch any of them off.
- BattoTV never adds ads of its own. YouTube may show its own ads on some videos, and some creators put adverts or promotions inside their videos. More about ads.
- Videos can stop working if YouTube or the creator removes them, makes them private or turns off playing in other apps. BattoTV hides them when that happens.
- If you see something unsuitable, use 👎 or 🚩 Report. Our team reviews reports and can block a video or channel for every family.
4. Plans and payments
- Free trial and Free plan. New families start with a free trial of BattoTV Family. After it, the family moves to the Free plan unless they subscribe. Nothing is deleted; extra kids and channels just pause.
- BattoTV Family is paid monthly or yearly by bank transfer, at the prices shown in the app and on our website. Your plan starts or extends once we confirm your payment, and we email your paid invoice.
- Renewals. Nothing is charged automatically. We email your invoice 14 days before a yearly plan ends (7 days for monthly) and a reminder a few days before.
- Grace period. If your plan ends while we're still confirming your payment, BattoTV Family keeps working for 3 more days. A payment confirmed then continues from your old end date.
- Cancelling. You can cancel (turn off renewal) any time in Settings → Plan & billing. Your plan keeps working until its end date, then moves to Free.
- Refunds. Payments aren't refunded for the time already paid for, except a payment made by mistake (for example twice, or to the wrong account), which we cancel and refund.
- Price changes are announced at least 30 days ahead and never change a period you've already paid for.
5. Fair use
- Use BattoTV for your own family. Don't share your account with other families.
- Each plan has limits (kids, devices, channels and playlists, and how many things can be added a day) so BattoTV stays fast and affordable for everyone.
- Don't misuse BattoTV: no trying to break into it, copy it, overload it, or use it to show children harmful content.
6. Suspension and deleting your account
We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why where we can. You can delete your account any time in Settings → Delete account; we keep invoices only as long as accounting law requires (see the Privacy policy).
7. Our responsibility
We work hard to keep BattoTV safe and working, but we provide it "as is" and can't promise it will always be available, or that every video on YouTube is suitable. As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here takes away rights you have by law as a consumer.
8. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and tell parents about important changes in the app or by email before they apply.
9. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Questions? Email support@battotv.com; we're happy to help.
